On Friday 22nd October 2021 we took delivery of our Spare 10 for Ben bench.
Spare 10 for Ben are a local mental health charity, also based in East Durham. The Founder of the charity, Claire set up the charity in her sons name. Sadly Ben took his own life in January 2020 and by creating this charity Claire has been able to focus a legacy that will help to remember Ben.
The charity raise funds and place inspirational bench's where they think people may want to go to take their own lives.
East Durham Veterans Trust raised funds at Armed Forces day by holding a raffle and purchased one of the Benches.
We saw it as a fitting tribute that we now have this bench at East Durham Veterans Trust with it's inspirational quote as our clients walk through the door.
