Shocking new statistics shows that the highest death by substance misuse in the UK is here in the North East and as stated above, veterans are among those most heavily affected by addiction.
This is why it is essential that East Durham Veterans Trust is in a position to provide addiction services to the veteran community and their families.
The service that is being provided by East Durham Veterans Trust is a bespoke service which is tailored around each individual who accesses the service rather than relying on certain pathways like many other services. Our Substance misuse practitioner Angie has 18 years of experience in this field and will be there to support you every step of the way.
Alongside this service we are also able to offer acupuncture and Reiki, two therapies that have proven results to support people with addiction as well as mental illness.
