Veterans People Places and Pathways

The Veterans People Places and Pathways programme is an initiative that links forces charities across the region.

East Durham Veterans Trust are thrilled to announce that we have joined the programme which will see us link up with other armed forces charities in the North East of England to further aid us in our quest to support local veterans.

As per The Covenant Fund Trust, The Veterans’ Places, Pathways and People programme is funded through the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund. It will provide grants for the sustainable provision of places of safety and pathways of support across the United Kingdom. You can find out more information about the scheme on their website.

We have been awarded a fantastic grant of £5ooo from the programme which will support the running of our allotment project. This project runs as part of our social inclusion initiative and provides service members with a safe outdoor space to socialise and take part in some therapeutic gardening activities.
